The Flocked project was a demonstration on the use of game related technologies involving:
  • Vertex and Fragment shaders in openGL.
  • Bump Mapping
  • Lighting
  • AI - Flocking and Steering
  • Stencil Buffering (reflections)

The scene involves The Flock of Sperm flocking within a wrapping bounding box, followed using steering AI by The Egg which is shaded and textured using CG shaders.

On the floor of the scene is a circular mirror, reflecting the activity within the bounding box. This was done by drawing the scene twice, and with the help of the stencil buffer.
